Find your purpose with the Ikigai framework (London E17)

  • Crate St James Street 35 Saint James Street London, England, E17 7FY United Kingdom (map)

Finding your purpose is an empowering process, that will ultimately lead you to build a life and career that truly reflects who you are and what you want.

I came across Ikigai when I was considering changing careers and found it super useful, because it’s simple, visual, yet it goes quite deep. It’ll help you grow your self-knowledge, clarify your purpose and integrate it into your life.

Ikigai combines wellbeing, life satisfaction, the joy of doing something and a sense of purpose.

It’s about feeling that your life is valuable and that you have an impact.

It can be found in the smallest daily rituals and the biggest parts of your life like your job and the roles you have. It’s not linked to your status in society, or the money you earn.

Everyone’s Ikigai is unique: it’s based on your personal history, your values, your beliefs, your hobbies and your personality.

But most importantly, it's not about finding The One and Only Thing that you will do for the rest of your life, that's unrealistic. It's a life-long journey of discovery, to figure out the many different ways you can bring meaning and satisfaction in your life through a combination of activities.

How do you go about finding your purpose, your ikigai?

The first step of Ikigai is focused on your self-knowledge, looking into what you love doing, what matters to you, what you’re good at and what you can be paid for. You may find a red thread going across these areas.

Then you need to create actions to integrate your ikigai into your rituals, hobbies, career, roles & relationships.

By then end of the workshop, you’ll come away with a visual representation of the various elements that make up your Ikigai and you will have an action plan to get started. Most importantly, you’ll feel more confident and empowered to bring change into your life, even small ones.

THE POWER OF WORKING TOGETHER

I will support you throughout this process by asking you powerful coaching questions to make you explore what you want to achieve and reflect on your goals and actions. I will also share my experience and tips to create a plan that’s right for you.

In a cosy and relaxed atmosphere, you’ll be with a small group of like-minded people who want to grow and make change happen in their life. It’ll be an opportunity to create your own plan by learning from each other in a safe and welcoming space.

Hosted at Crate St James Street, a vibrant community of businesses at the heart of Walthamstow.

TAKING A MOMENT FROM THE BUSY-NESS OF YOUR LIFE WILL EMPOWER YOU TO FOCUS ON YOURSELF, MAKE DECISIONS AND TAKE ACTIONS .

ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Catherine! I’ve been a career coach for the last 5 years. Before that, I used to work in HR and Talent Management. I decided to change careers to become independent and choose how to achieve my purpose of helping others grow. Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of clients from various backgrounds and at different stages in their life and career, supporting them with their personal development, career growth and life design. I love sharing what I’ve learned from my own career and my clients' experiences with others. Delivering workshops is something I really enjoy as I find that collective and collaborative thinking really enables you to think deeper and create empowering action plans!
